Pentagon Study Released: Camo can be fab 11/30/10

It’s official.  Allowing gays and lesbians to openly serve in the Armed Forces of the United States will not destroy the military.

The Department of Defense today released it’s study on the implementation of repealing the mis-named “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Don’t Pursue” policy.

The report has been endorsed by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff NavyAdmiral Mike Mullen, and by Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates.

President Obama today urged the Senate to vote to allow repeal before the end of this year’s session of Congress.

The Pentagon report, here.

A good review at Prop 8 Trial Tracker.

Organizations that are now listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as hate groupswere allowed input in the study.  This should bolster the overwhelming conclusion of the study.  It’s time to end the policy, and allow openly gay people to serve their country in it’s armed forces.
